Positive Intelligence by Shirzad Chamine - A thought-provoking book which introduces the idea of "Saboteurs: and how we develop strategies in our childhood which can evolve into troublesome patterns. If you are looking for some new and deep insights into your behavior patterns, I recommend it. There is a free "test" you can take to check out your own saboteur profile.

What Color is Your Parachute  by Richard Bolles - This is a tried and true, thorough journey through the career exploration and job search process. If you can learn from a book this one is good.

Do What You Are  by Paul Tieger & Barbara Barron   - Great book that describes the meaning and workings of the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator. Includes case studies and details for each of the 16 personality types. Very thorough and easy to read.

Switchers:How Smart Professional Change Career and Seize Success  by Dawn Graham - Excellent practical description of a successful approach to career changing. Provides the psychology behind career switching from a employee's as well as employer's viewpoint. Great insights. Doesn't mince words!

Quiet:The Power of Introverts In a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain - Essential read for all introverts! There is also an excellent website.

Find Your Dream Job - Find Your Dream Job is a podcast for professionals focused on finding work that matters. Join us every week for a new episode full of job search tactics, career resources, and insider advice from nationally-recognized experts on job hunting and career management.

Road Trip Nation - PBS show running for 19 seasons. Available on their website or streaming channel. Provides excellent examples of the career decision making process. The show focuses on individuals just starting out who interview professionals in a wide variety of fields. There are also special hour-long shows addressing  additional populations including late-in-life career changers, single parents, non-college routes and more. They also have a podcast.
